Raf Sanchez, Jon Swaine and Matthew Holehouse, Bo Xilai's Son 'Escorted From His Home Near Harvard University by US Officials.'  Daily Telegraph, Apr 14, 2012
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ ... y-US-officials.html

Quote:

"The FBI's Boston office declined to say if the man [with a badge, who drove Mr Bo Guagua away] was one of their agents. It is understood that he was not from the local or university police departments.

"Throughout the day [Thursday] a group of Chinese men were parked conspicuously in front a fire hydrant outside, breaking a basic American road law and suggesting they were unfamiliar with the country's rules.

"However one of Mr Bo's closest friends told The Daily Telegraph he would be determined to return to China to serve his country

"He lives in a luxurious two-bedroom flat on the ground floor of a seven-storey building near campus that features a doorman, gym and roof sundeck, paying $2,950 per month in rent.

My comment:
(a) I want to explain why I assign "Apr 14"--not 13--as print date. I am familiar with New York Times (check URL) and WSJ (online date is print date). But I have always puzzled over Washington Post, LA Times, Telegraph and Guardian (though I have had an inkling that Telegraph prints reports a day after the online date).
(b) This report states the event occurred "Thursday night," in Cambridge, Massachusetts. GMT is several hours ahead of EDT (Eastern Dailight Time). So it is unlikely Telegraph could print the report on Friday, Apr 13.
(c) I gather Mr Bo Guagua'a moving is imperative, as a news report Thursday morning identified his apartment in "a seven-storey apartment building." There are not many building like that--bouses are 2- or 3-story tall, at most.

(d) For "roller suitcase," see baggage
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baggage
(section 3 Types of luggage: Rolling Luggage (and others))
(d) I have not seen "besuited." The www.m-w.com does not have it.

besuited (adj): "(of a person, especially a man) wearing a suit"
Oxford Dictionaries
http://oxforddictionaries.com/definition/besuited?region=us

(e) For "key fob," see keychain
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keychain
(section 4 key fob; section 8 Access control key fobs)

Without an illustration of photo, it is hard to comprehend section 4. Here are some old-fashioned key fob.

Quote:

(a) "'Now he is an orphan,' a source close to Bo's family said.

(b) "Bo's university directory page lists his work experience as a 2009 stint with China's Yichun County government and an internship with the Chinese Ministry of Education that same year. Also during his Oxford years he is listed as founder of Beijing-based Guagua Internet Company (2009-2010), which appears to be defunct.

(c) "In the current academic year, Bo won a grant from the school's Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation to work with fellow student Jennifer Choi on a project called 'Transparency and Engagement Solutions for Nonprofits in China./

"Choi, a candidate for a joint MBA/Kennedy School degree, is an intern in the fashion industry. She did not respond to emailed questions.

"In an email, Anthony Saich, director of the Ash Center and a professor of international affairs, deferred to university policy in declining to comment further.

(d) Fellow Harvard students say Bo has not been seen around lately.

(e) "At the end of March, Bo wrote the Times of London, asking the British media to leave him out of politics and let him focus on his studies.

My comment: There is no need to read the rest.
