Locke is 20-mile air distance due south of City of Sacramento.
(b) "1915年，加州南部核桃谷一带华人民工聚居的地方被一场大火烧毁了，他们希望能建一座有家乡特色的自己的城镇。 * * * 20世纪初期，加州的法律禁止外国移民拥有土地。于是，这些华人找到拥有大片土地的美国人乔治.劳克（George Locke），请求在他的地面上兴建一座华人城镇。劳克同意了他们的要求，双方签订了合约。1920年，一个独具风格的 '乐居' 镇建起来了。"

Clearly it is not 核桃 "谷" but grove.
