World in a dish | Burning Out; Officials in Mumbai want to extinguish the charcoal tandoor. The Economist, May 3, 2025, at page 70.

please view photos in this Wiki page to see how bread or meat is cooked in tandoor. You should also search images.google.com with (tandoor meat) to see how large pieces of meat are cooked in tandoor, which look like BBQ in an enclosed chamber.
