Mt comment:
(a) Each issue of The Pingry Review is placed in the Web, not in pdf or html format, but in some format I have not seen before. You may move the white solid ball horizontally, just underneath the review images. This online display counts the cover as "1," although the hard copy excludes the cover in the couniting. My page numbers in the above correspond to the numbers in the hard copies -- in the lower corners away from the spine.
(b) Pingry School
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pingry_School
(K-12; private day school' om New Jersey; "The school was founded in 1861 by John F Pingry")
(c)
(i) I am impressed by the great lengths US military go to to recruit people.
(ii) At page 34 is Cathleen Parker: "A member if Girls' Varsity Lacrosse * * * It wasn't until her sophomore year at Pingry [high school], when West Point began recruiting her to play lacrosse [at West Point], that the school[West Point] appeared on her radar. Her passion for athletics -- and lacrosse in particular -- was in part what convinced her to accept their recruitment offer her junior year, becoming the first Pingry female graduate in more than 15 years to attend West Point")
(d) To be admitted to a US military academy, an applicant must "receive a nomination, usually from a member of Congress. Other nomination sources include the president and vice president."  Wikipedia. So I thought it was about connection. The deceased senator John McCain (R, Arizona) had his father and paternal grandfather enter the same Naval Academy.
