(d) Lebensraum (n; German, from Leben living, life + Raum space): "territory

economic self-sufficiency"

Quote:

"True, if China dumped its dollars on world markets, it could bring the
American economy to its knees, but in doing so it would bring itself to its
ankles.

"Finally, China has miscalculated by violating the wisdom of Deng Xiaoping,
who advised that China should proceed cautiously and `keep its light under a
basket.'

My comment:
(a) The English phrase "hide his light under a bushel" comes from Matthew 5:
15: "Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a
candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house."
(b) There is no need to read the rest.

My comment: There is no read to read the content.
