My comment: Foxconn is dumb. The company routinely required a new employee
to sign a document that stated the company woul dnot be liable should the
signee commit suicide. Then the company paid when suicides did happen.
Finally (two weeks ago or so), the company announced that it would no longer
asked new employee to sign the document, before it buckled and hike wages
twice. US has a policy not to deal with terrorists. I am not saying the
suicides at Foxconn were terrorists. But a cluster of suicides happen
frequently (just ask MIT and Harvard). In the latter, universities do not
pay families whose son or daughter commit suicide on or off campus.

My comment: This is the first public disclosure. Until now the public does
not know. Therefore, the suicides in Massachusetts penitentiary system is
not likely to be acts of copycats.
