US not helping Taiwan cruise missile program

My comment:
(a) Chichun (Lance Hawk 戟隼案; misile HF-2E) where 案 is similiar to "
operation" (as in Operation Desert Storm) and HF stands for Hsiung Feng 雄風.
(b) Chuifeng (Chasing Wind 追風案; missile HF-3)
(c) The report states, "Asked whether the United States had provided any
assistance to the island in its program, Pentagon spokesman David Lapan said
: 'Don't believe so.'

That is not a rebuke. In any event, Mr. Lapan was not listed anywhere in
recent news briefing at the Pentagon web site. Maybe the reporter simply
phoned him.
