(1) Dylan McGrath, TSMC's R&D Chief Sees 10 Years of Scaling.
EETimes, Oct 25, 2011.
http://www.eetimes.com/electroni ... e-years-of-scaling-
("The path is clear for continued semiconductor scaling using FinFETs for the next decade, down to the 7-nm node, according to Shang-Yi Chiang, senior vice president of R&D at foundry giant Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co")

(b) For FinFET, see multigate device
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multigate_device
(A multigate device or multiple gate field-effect transistor(MuGFET) refers to a MOSFET which incorporates more than one gate into a single device; section 1 Industry need; section 2.3 FinFETs)

This Wiki page, in section 1.1 Integration challenges, mentions the "fin"-shpaed conducting channel (between source and drain).

(i) MOSFET
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOSFET
("In MOSFETs, a voltage on the oxide-insulated gate electrode can induce a conducting channel between the two other contacts called source and drain. The channel can be of n-type or p-type" where n and p stands for negative and positive)
(ii) field-effect transistor

(2) David Sarno, Apple May Be Getting Ready to Reinvent TV;
Remarks by late co-founder Steve Jobs in a new biography have set off a flurry of speculation that Apple will roll out a TV set that could remake the industry.

(the $100-billion industry of television sets)

Note:
(a) The report says, "Apple this month also introduced a sophisticated voice-control system for the new model of its iPhone. Called Siri, the software is able to understand free-form spoken commands."

(i) free-form (adj; First Known Use 1950):
"1: having or being an irregular or asymmetrical shape or design <free–form furniture>
2: free 12b <free–form dancing>"
(ii) free (adj):
"12 a : not literal or exact <free translation>
b : not restricted by or conforming to conventional forms <free skating>"

Both definitions are from www.m-w.com.
(b) Since 2007, Apple actually has sold
Apple TV
