I wrote this two days ago.

It is well publicized recently that
people are more and more watching television program, not in their TV set
but in their computer--through Hulu.com. See, e.g.,

Brian Stelter, Web-TV Divide Is Back in Focus With NBC Sale. New York Times,
Dec. 4, 2009.

(2) Netflix (and its competitors) has opened a new front: streaming. Check
out their web site:

How It Works.
http://www.netflix.com/HowItWorks

In the top, the left panel is the traditional way, of receiving a tape from
mail delivery. The right panel is streaming to your computer (and then you
keep the copy forever). FAQ is in the left column.

other, non-traditional arm, its publication arm dwindling by the month. See

In my previous posting, reports talked about watching television and movies
in a computer. Today, it is reported that watching those in a TV set is feasible.
In January this year, manufacturers touted computer and television combined
into one. Apparently the device has arrived.

My comment: In the print, the article preceded by a teaser that appears in
the first page of Tech section: A
photograph of a big pile of gadgets and electric cords in the left and three
items without a cord in the right--
whose caption says, "The gadget graveyard and the future of television   By
using the Internet to watch
television, a consumer found he could discard the wires and the input device
, left--and stop paying for cable-
-and substitute the computer, a wireless mouse and X-box, right.  The
caption summarizes the article.
