My comment:
(1) The summary on frnt page:

"Underground Art, Buried Where No Subway Ever Stops.

It is a gallery full of rtwork, buried beneath a city full of art lovers who will never see it. For a year and a half, until August, more than 100 street artists avoided detection as they clambered into secret cavern under New York: a subway station where no subway ever stopped. There they created murals and other works that are still in place though the organizers declared it closed and estroyed their means of access to the site. Before that happened, a handful of outsiders made it in, including one reporter. His account is on Page C1.

(2) cavern (n): "CAVE; especially : one of large or indefinite extent"
Both definitions are from www.m-w.com.
(3) curator (n; Latin, from curare to care): " one who has the care and superintendence of something; especially :one in charge of a museum, zoo, or other place of exhibit"
(4) Banksy

(the pseudonym[2][3] of a British graffiti artist)

(5) Boston has relentlessly pursued street artists for vandalism.

Quote:

"Danielle Bremner, a 24-year-old New Yorker, was charged with 13 counts of vandalism and defacing property for spray painting her moniker, 'Utah.'

"In July, when Fairey pleaded guilty to charges of vandalism for placing stickers of his artwork around Boston, he was ordered to pay $2,000 to a Back Bay neighborhood group and placed on two years’ probation.

(i) She and her boy friend, both street artists, fled to Europe and stayed there for three months. They were arrested upon retrning to US, separately at airports. She served time at New York City first and then sent to Boston for local charges.
(ii) Maybe the difference in sentences is Ms. Bremner spray painted whereas Mr. Fairey placed stickers.
(iii) Photographs of Ms. Bremner and "Utah" tags,
