(c) My comment:
(i) There is no need to read the rest of the NYT report, which overestimates China'a capability in (at least civilian) aviation industry. If one reads Aviation Week and thus is in the know about seeming insurmountable hurdle of ARJ21 and C919, he will realize China's ambitious efforts amount to 吳剛伐桂 or that of Sisyphus.
